With the introduction of CCE by the CBSE from the academic year 2009-10, a student is assessed/examined in scholastic and co-scholastic areas comprehensively and continuously throughout the year. The periodicity of assessment, exams and weightage of marks for promotion to next class will be on the basis of assessment/performance in each of the scholastic and co-scholastic areas.
For classes IX and X the results of scholastic areas of four FAs and the two SAs for each class, along with the grades in co-scholastic areas of each year are uploaded to the CBSE zonal office. In turn, the CBSE issues the combined Result Card in the month of May for class IX and X after class X SA2 examination conducted either by the Board or by the school is completed.
Failure in one subject will be considered as compartment. Re-test(s) will be held for all compartment cases after the results are declared for Class XI Final Examination. In case of failure in more than two subjects, the concerned student(s) will be required to repeat the class. No discussion will be entertained in this regard. Promotion from Class XI to Class XII will only be given if the student passes both theory and practical examinations.
